This is a great day on the lake. Worth every penny. pontoons are well kept and easy to operate. Pack a lunch and find a quite cove to swim, fish or explore. Beautiful,. I would recommend adding two hours to the time you think you're going to spend out.. the lake is HUGE. I would also recommend getting a larger boat then your party for extra room. if you have 6 get an 8 passenger.
This place is located at a beautiful motor inn. The staff was friendly and the price was really good. Renting a boat on Douglas Lake was the highlight of our vacation. Being on the water and seeing the Great Smokies from this perspective was wonderful. We're already planning on coming back next year
The staff here was extremely friendly and helpful. Johnny helped unload the truck for us, loaded the boat and even helped put our dogs life jacket on, he was GREAT. The price for the boat was the most reasonable we'd found and you even get an ice cream at the end of the ride. Super experience and we'll be going back next month to rent a boat again.
My family traveled from Delaware AND Arkansas respectively and we rented a 10 person pontoon boat with a potty on board. We were so amazed at the services provided. After we dropped our supplies off at the marina the friendly staff brought us from the parking lot back to the marina. Not only that they carried our personal supplies like coolers etc and put them on the boat for us. They even helped inflate and deflate our tube. They literally took care of everything. We spent about 8 hours on the boat and came back to the marina and the awesome staff again took care of everything. The prices were very reasonable compared to other marinas we have used in other states. Clean boats and facilities. They have a beautiful little bed and breakfast as well. We couldn't have asked for better. A great day on Lake Douglas thanks to Douglas Lake Marina.
Probably won't rent here again. You prepay when you reserve so they have your money up front. Too many things went wrong when we got there to rent. Started out with a one hour delay due to mechanical problems with the boat. I had reserved one with a bathroom but they "forgot" so we had no bathroom. They also almost forgot to give us a tube which I had prepaid for. They gave no instruction on how to attach the tube so I had to call them from the lake and ask how to attach it. They described a mounted line behind the engine to attach to which took us a while to identify because it was all tangled up around the engine and we spent at least 15 minutes freeing it before we could attach the tube. The engines are too small for the boats. Max speed was 11 MPH which is barely enough to pull a tube and have any fun. It also takes forever to go anywhere on the lake at that speed and is barely worth it to tube. We stopped at another marina for snacks and restroom stop and they have double the horsepower on their engines at very close to the same price so next time I'm going there.
