We took our yearly vacation and stayed for a week at Anchor Down. This is the nicest campground that I have ever stayed at. The staff goes beyond expectations to make sure that everyone has a great time. It is well within driving distance to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. While staying here, my husband and I decided to drive to Chattanooga to the International Towing Museum. This is a very family friendly campground that really takes care of their customers. We will definitely return for another visit and I can't wait! I have told all of my camping friends about our wonderful experience at Anchor Down RV Resort
Beautiful RV Resort and friendly staff and guests. The RV spots are immaculate and easily accessible. The views are just beautiful! We love this campground and come back to visit each year!
In the last two seasons, Anchor Down has become widely acclaimed as Tennessee's Premier RV Resort. Being a camper that has traveled in my RV to all 4 corners of the USA, Canada and Mexico, I would rank it top shelf with no comparison other than Disney. The campgrounds owners are on site, are easy going and approachable, are super nice people and have spared no expense on making Anchor Down the most impressive RV Resort you'll likely ever visit in your life. The owner designed and built the entire thing from the ground up and it's breathtaking. I'm asking anyone reading this to ignore pin headed reviews posted about ridiculous stuff like debris in the water and realize it impossible to please some people. This resort is as close to perfect as you'll ever see, to me it IS perfect, I've camped there since it opened and never seen a flaw, its perfection on the water with fantastic staff, sites and owners
We love it here. The employees are friendly. The camp sites are level and clean. The shower house is real nice. We hate to leave. You see the owner daily making his rounds checking to see if you need anything. We visited here in June and November of 2017. We plan on being back next year.
I had a fabulous time here! I loved that they have a dog park. A true lifesaver when your dog needs to expend their energy. Love that you can rent a golf cart and zip around. Make sure to reserve carts ahead of time around busy weekends!
